Empty Arms:
A Workshop for Those Grieving Miscarriage and Infertility

Join us for an in-person workshop with spiritual wellness coach Jessica Field

March 2nd, 2024

10 to 11:30AM at Literacy Connects

200 E Yavapai Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705

The path of infertility and pregnancy loss is a challenging and layered one. Those who experience miscarriage or infertility often feel anger, loneliness, and sorrow, and the questions around what will happen next can be all-consuming.

The losses that come with infertility and miscarriage are immense – loss of life, loss of a dream, loss of a timeline, loss of bodily autonomy, loss of romance, loss of control, and so many more.

The grief experience of the person carrying the pregnancy can differ from that of their partner, and partners may put aside their own grief while they navigate supporting the other.

In this 90 minute interactive workshop, we will explore the unique losses and types of grief associated with pregnancy loss and infertility. There will be room to reflect and share in the large group, in partnerships, and on your own. A variety of exercises will support this workshop.

This workshop is for anyone who has experienced or is experiencing pregnancy loss or infertility, and for their supportive people.

Please Note: This is an interactive writing workshop that takes place in person. It is not a support group, but having said this, we will be talking about loss and grief, so we expect that tears and feelings of vulnerability may arise. This is normal and healthy. However if you have had a very recent significant loss and find yourself in the depth of grief, this may not be the setting for you at this time of your journey. If you wish to talk with someone about this in order to make a decision, contact us at info@tlcforgrief.org We will set up a time to talk with you.
